Summary

Bill entitled an Act to provide for the establishment of the Office of Public Sector Standards Commissioner, to define the functions of the holder of that office and, in addition, to confer on that holder certain functions of the Standards in Public Office Commission, to provide for standards of conduct for public officials and impose on them certain obligations in connection therewith, to provide sanctions in cases of non-compliance with those obligations, to provide for the investigation of complaints that those obligations have not been complied with, to provide for a system of disclosure of interests, to provide for the furnishing of tax clearance certificates to the Office of Public Sector Standards Commissioner by certain public officials, to establish an outside appointments board and confer on it certain functions, to repeal certain provisions of the Ethics in Public Office Act 1995 and the Standards in Public Office Act 2001, and Part XV of Local Government Act 2001, and to provide for related matters
