Summary

Bill entitled an Act to provide for the regulation of persons who manufacture, sell or otherwise supply vehicle registration plates and for that purpose to provide for the establishment by the Minister for Finance of a register of persons who manufacture for sale or supply, or who sell or supply, such plates and to provide for the keeping and maintaining of such register; to enable that Minister by regulations to require such persons to keep records of such manufacture, sale or supply in such manner as that Minister may prescribe by regulations; to provide for matters relating to an application for renewal of any registration under this Act; to exempt any such person or class of persons from keeping such records either generally or in respect of any class of business; to enable that Minister to make regulations so that the identification of the manufacturer or supplier of any vehicle registration plates can be determined from those plates; to provide for authorised officers; and to provide for related matters.
