1 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education if she will consider the appointment of at least one appropriately qualified school welfare officer to each vocational education committee area to co-ordinate the various statutory and voluntary agencies which would have an input in dealing with problem children referred from first and second level schools in the VEC area in a family context in order that on-going support and guidance would be provided for these children; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
