Deputy Frankie Feighan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if an extension of 12 months can be applied to the rule that all taxis which operate under the remit of the Taxi Regulator must not be older than ten years of age in view of the fact the taxi fleet has now been put off the road due to Covid-19 and that taxi drivers have been left without employment until the matter is resolved (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter.
