Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the specific measures he will take to ensure that Ireland will not exceed emissions limits laid out under the EU effort sharing decision in 2015 as is projected in the EPA CCRP report (details supplied); if he will accept that mitigating actions are required immediately to address this matter and cannot wait until the passage of the proposed climate action and low carbon development Bill if such actions are to have any measurable impact; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
