Deputy Bríd Smith asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications his views on a recent report (details supplied) which suggests that fossil fuel industrial lobbyists in the United States have used the war in Ukraine to push for new oil and gas infrastructure and expansion given that such expansion is incompatible with Paris treaty targets similar pressure is being applied to build new liquefied natural gas terminals in Europe and Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
