Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Skills if she will investigate a shortfall in the payment of the remote area grant for the years 2001 to 2011 to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath, who was paid the rate of €3.20 rather than the normal rate of €5.10 which applied to similar situations, and who resided a particular distance from the school where a public scheduled service was not suitable; if, in this context, same will now be reviewed; and appropriate arrears paid; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
