101 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Finance if the imposition of pay pauses for civil servants that are not applicable to private sector employees is constitutionally sound, in view of the fact that civil servants have a statutory right to pay and conditions of employment which can be enforced by the Courts and taking into account that he is obliged to fix pay and conditions of employment of civil servants in accordance with Articles 40.3.1 and 40.3.2, including relevant rulings and interpretations by the Courts in relation to articles (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter.
