190 Deputy Bobby Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason general practitioners in general practice who have retired from the general medical service on age grounds and are fully covered by insurance and registered with the Irish Medical Council are not provided with influenza vaccines for their patients; the reason they are not provided with vaccines for the immunisation of children, MMR and Pridel, in view of the fact that their mothers are being cared for by the GP in antenatal care but they have to refer the children to GMS doctors against the wishes of their parents; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
