Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if her attention has been drawn to the continued refusal by the Algerian authorities to permit a comprehensive census and formal registration of the population in the Tindouf camps; whether given concerns regarding the lack of transparent and verifiable data on their refugee status, the Government intends to raise this issue at EU or UN level to support calls for registration in line with international refugee law; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
