PQ 1035

1035. Deputy Catherine Martin asked the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment his plans to bring to the European Council the proposal that Ireland should, as a result of our anticipated failure to meet our 2020 greenhouse gas emissions target for the non-traded sector, have a higher target in subsequent years than we would have if we meet our target; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that this is placing Ireland as a problem country for European climate policy; and the steps he will take to meet our climate targets (details supplied).
