Durkan asked the Minister for Health the budget allocated to the National Immunisation Office in each of the years 2018 to 2021 and to date in 2022; the breakdown of same based on Covid-19 and non-Covid-19 related funding; the way that Ireland compares with other European Union states in terms of spending on national immunisation programmes as a percentage of the national healthcare budget; the extent to which his Department has undertaken any recent research to evaluate the social and economic benefits of national immunisation programmes or has reviewed any relevant research undertaken in other European Union states; if so, if he will publish the results of that research in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
