Deputy John Lahart asked the Minister for Health his plans for the provision of rehabilitation supports in order that persons with acquired deaf-blindness are provided with the necessary equipment and aids to support them to live independently and comfortable in their own homes; when training of personnel who work with deaf-blind persons will be provided which is of critical importance in providing to them the ability to communicate and transfer information to a person with combined hearing and vision impairments; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
