Deputy Patrick O'Donovan asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if he will consider a review of the current planning legislation to allow the extension of planning permission in cases which cannot be pursued due to economic circumstances; if he will allow the applicant the opportunity to prove that they can comply with modern standards by way of submission of information to the planning authorities in order as to keep the applications live; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
