Deputy John Connolly asked the Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment the total number of authorisations issued by the Injuries Resolution Board in 2024 permitting claimants to initiate legal proceedings; to provide details insofar as his Department is aware of the number or proportion of those authorisations which subsequently resulted in formal legal proceedings being initiated in the Courts Service; if he will commit to publishing annual data on post authorisation litigation outcomes in order to support transparency and inform Oireachtas oversight of the personal injuries system; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
