Donnelly asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 166 of 13 March 2012, on the issue of Ireland’s participation in the discussions regarding access to the European Stability Mechanism, funds being contingent on the ratification of the Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union, in which he stated that he did not actively seek to include the link between the two treaties, if he at any point argued against the inclusion of the link between the two treaties.
