114 Deputy Bernard Allen asked the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if he will examine a situation where FÁS in the south west region are stating that the programme for long-term unemployed people who are over 55 years of age, which was introduced in November 2004 and which would allow people to stay on community employment schemes for up to six years and which was subsequently increased by a further year for those in receipt of disability payments, is over-subscribed in that age category at present and they can not facilitate applications which has been the case for quite some time; and when places in that particular category will be available again.
