196 Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 69 of 24 May 2012, if some level of financial assistance may be provided to purchase a specifically adapted motor vehicle in view of the increasing extent and degree of their disability including the fact that she is an amputee, has suffered irreparable damage to her spinal cord, lower back and limbs arising from Spina Bifida, and has previously suffered from polio, if the decision to refuse a primary medical certificate is an accord with EU legislation in this instance; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
