Deputy James Browne asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government when a revised credit policy will be issued from the Housing Agency to local authorities for considering council mortgage applications; if a revised credit policy will include a provision to give persons who have gone through bankruptcy the opportunity to apply for a council mortgage rather than being deemed ineligible in view of the fact they are not a first-time buyer; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
