Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Social Protection if he will reinstate an invalidity pension in respect of a person (details supplied) pending receipt of information requested by his Department in view of the fact that the request letter was issued on 28 October 2016 and the person did not have 28 days to reply to same; and the reason farming five hectares of land for therapeutic purposes would disbar the person from being in receipt of this pension when there is no substantial income and where his Department has a policy of encouraging persons in receipt of invalidity pension to remain as effective as possible.
