Deputy Barry Cowen asked the Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications the additional skilled employment which will be required through the upscaling of retrofitting in budget 2021; if he is satisfied that the workforce currently available is sufficient to meet the scale of retrofitting planned; and if he will engage with the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science with a view to the provision of additional apprenticeships and training places in the midlands to support this increased ambition.
