115 Mr. Howlin asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of inspections that have taken place under the Act for each year since it came into force in respect of the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997; the number of prosecutions taken since the Act came into force; the number of convictions that have been obtained; if she has satisfied herself with the level of enforcement of the legislation; if she has any plans to amend the Act to allow for an individual opt out from its protection in relation to doctors in training; the position she is taking on the recent consultation paper issued by the Commission to the Council of Ministers; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
