Deputy Alan Kelly asked the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation her views on the fact that the European Commission deemed it necessary to open a formal investigation into alleged anti-competitive behaviour in the insurance sector here in view of the fact that the matter is one that falls within the competence of the CCPC; her further views on whether the CCPC has sufficient resources to effectively enforce competition law here; her views on the ability of the CCPC to effectively investigate alleged infringements of competition law; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
