Deputy Seán Crowe asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the World Food Programme, WFP, has indicated more than 500,000 children will die in the next three to four months in northeastern Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen if emergency food supplies are not urgently delivered and that funding shortfalls are hindering its ability to help these children and deliver the emergency food supplies; and if he will respond to the WFP funding drive and assist it in tackling these humanitarian crises.
