Deputy Bobby Aylward asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government if he will investigate the current level of engagement among housing agencies with the mortgage to rent scheme; if he is satisfied with same; if he will consider implementing legislation or amending the principal legislation to ensure that there is a higher level of engagement between housing agencies and applicants of the mortgage to rent scheme to ensure that they are not forced out of their home and onto the housing list which represents a failure in the current system and very poor utilisation of State funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
