Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of staff coming to an end of career break in her Department in 2023 and 2024 when it was not possible to make a reasonable offer within the 12 month period after the expiry of the career break; the number of staff in that situation where the possibility of facilitating the civil servant on a supernumerary basis was explored in accordance with paragraph 41 of the 2013 circular Career Break Scheme in the Civil Service from the Department of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
