Deputy Barry Cowen asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government if his Department has examined proposals to undertake a comprehensive land and property survey detailing the utilisation, vacancy levels and-or occupancy of all property in each local authority area, as a means of identifying a number of issues relevant to the under utilisation of existing property, commercial or residential stock that are not covered by the census; and if he will initiate a pilot study of such a survey.
