Deputy Barry Heneghan asked the Minister for Education and Youth when the pay agreement for school caretakers will be implemented; if she will explain the reason for the continued delay, particularly in light of the fact that school secretaries received their agreement in 2023; the supports being put in place for school caretakers who are left without income during school closures and must repeatedly sign on for social welfare payments during holiday periods; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
