Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 451 of 22 January 2014, if he will address the specific questions raised; namely, if his Department will provide a projected timeline for the installation of water meters to the 300,000 homes that have not been included in the initial roll-out of metering; if it is the intention of Irish Water and his Department that these homes will be installed with meters in the foreseeable future; if two homes sharing a single connection will be treated differently from an apartment block; and the reason this supply cannot be split as part of the meter installation programme; if he will provide an update on the deliberations of the Commission for Energy Regulation regarding charges; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
