PQ 133

128 Deputy Edward O’Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children if her attention has been drawn to the fact that cancer patients availing of a taxi service to and from chemotherapy treatment in County Cork who are receiving supplementary welfare allowance payments from the Health Service Executive toward the taxi cost are being assessed on each journey for such payments to ensure that they are receiving the best value and that this is in some cases causing a delay in payment to the taxi firm.
