163 Deputy Seán Connick asked the Minister for Health and Children if her attention has been drawn to the fact that in December 2008 the average social worker in County Wexford had an average of 31 cases, which was the fourth highest figure from the 32 local health offices in the State, that 500 children in County Wexford who were identified as being at risk of abuse or neglect had not being allocated a social worker and that this corresponds to 43% of children in County Wexford who were identified as being at risk of abuse or neglect; her proposals to resolve these issues; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
