144 Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs if his attention has been drawn to the fact that in the context of the appreciation of the Euro against sterling whereby people who are in receipt of their pensions here from the UK are suffering a significant drop in income due to the said appreciation; if there is a way for the recipient receiving additional income to compensate for the said loss in view of the fact that they are on fixed incomes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
