Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the steps he has taken in regard to recommendation 7.2.2 by the review group that the EPA should be more answerable to the Oireachtas by means, for example, of the extension of the parliamentary questions process to State agencies as is set out in the programme for Government and recommendation 7.6.7 which states that a whistleblower law would be introduced.
