Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he will correct the record of Dáil Éireann in regard to the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 449 of 12 July 2016, in which it was stated that a business case submitted to him by Horse Racing Ireland for the reappointment of the incumbent CEO for a further five-year term had been submitted by the board or HRI, in view of the fact that the board had not, in fact, been consulted about this business case before it was submitted, nor had the board considered or agreed to any motion to reappoint the incumbent.
