Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Finance the legal protections provided for under the Consumer Credit Act for mortgage holders whose distressed mortgages have been sold by their original lender to a debt factoring company or other financial service provider; and if the holders of these mortgages continue to have recourse to the mortgage arrears resolution process and code of conduct on mortgage arrears.
