Deputy Seán Crowe asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if his attention has been drawn to reports that the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, OHCHR, endangered human rights defenders, HRDs, that attended the human rights council in Geneva in March 2013, by releasing their details to their governments; if his attention has been further drawn to the fact that a press statement released by OHCHR after these allegations explains that governments can submit a list of HRDs to OHCHR and receive information as to whether they plan to attend the next session of the council for which accreditation is under way; and his views on this development.
