Deputy Ken O'Flynn asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality the steps she will take, in light of Budget 2026's allocation of €3.2 million to expand the Family Resource Centre (FRC) Programme by ten additional centres nationwide bringing the total to 136 and given that none of the five FRCs funded in Budget 2025 were allocated to Cork city, to ensure that one of these new centres is prioritised for the northside of Cork city, where there is currently no FRC provision despite high levels of deprivation across three of the city's four RAPID areas, and where a family centre (details supplied) which is the sole active applicant from this region remains under active consideration by Tusla; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
