Deputy Mairéad Farrell asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications given that last year, the fish health unit of the Marine Institute identified the Aeromonas hydrophila bacterium in wild brown trout from Lough Corrib SAC, what measures his Department, and Inland Fisheries Ireland, will put in place to prevent the spread of this bacteria to other watercourses, particularly wild brown trout populations; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
