Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason a person (details supplied) who arrived from the US on 6 March 2009 was arbitrarily deported to Philadelphia, a location from whence they began their journey; if such action is expected to be beneficial to sympathetic treatment to undocumented Irish in this US; if it is intended to make contact with this person with a view to an amicable resolution in view of the fact that they are eligible for Irish citizenship; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
