Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Finance if he will set out, in tabular form, the revenue that would be raised from reducing the annual earnings limit along with age-related percentage limits for maximum tax relievable contributions for pension purposes from €115,000 to €100,000, €90,000, €80,000, €70,000 and €60,000, respectively, if tax relief is granted at the marginal rate; the maximum rate of tax relief is reduced to 34%; the maximum rate of tax relief is reduced to 30%; and tax relief is reduced to 20%; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
