Deputy Eoin Ó Broin asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage further to Parliamentary Question No. 297 of 21 September 2021 and responses to recommendations 1 and 2 in the table, the dates on which the actions and decisions taken on the way the Government has as per recommendation 2, prioritized the introduction of separate and complementary legislation to complete the designation, regulation and management of marine protected areas and subsequently that marine protected areas are included in the National Marine Planning Framework and Marine Spatial Plan in tabular form; the status of the drafting of the heads of legislation for marine protected areas; when they will be published; and when pre-legislative scrutiny will be requested.
