Deputy Michael Creed asked the Minister for Social Protection if her attention has been drawn to the impact that withdrawal of one parent family payments will have on those parents who are in the work-force and in receipt of family income supplement; if she will ensure that their level of FIS entitlement will be reviewed immediately on the withdrawal of their one parent family payment rather than the annual review which is presently the case; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that in most such cases entitlement to supplementary welfare allowance as an interim measure is not an option where earnings will put them over the rate for adult and dependent children; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
