Deputy Niamh Smyth asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government if there are plans to give the entire motor tax income taken in by Cavan and Monaghan county councils on a yearly basis back to the local authorities in full to help maintain roads in both counties; if this will be reviewed in order that councils can be assisted in providing adequate infrastructure in their respective areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
