PQ 165

165. Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment if consideration will be given to the inclusion of new-build properties in the current solar PV grant, in view of the fact that those building new homes do not qualify for this grant and taking into account that most new builds are run exclusively on electricity only with homes being expensive to run and solar energy would offset these running costs; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
