Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will call in the national speed limit review group with a view to progressing changes to speed limits on roads around the country; if he appreciates that there are extremely dangerous situations in existence all over the country because of inappropriate speed limits and that there needs to be action taken to ensure that local authorities implement changes as quickly as possible; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
