Deputy Eoin Ó Broin asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications if he will consider establishing a rebalancing subvention, modelled on the large energy user rebalancing subvention introduced in 2009, with the purpose of funding repair and upgrade of the grid in the wake of storm Éowyn, by collecting a greater portion of network charges from large energy users and less from household considering households subsided €600 million of large energy users' portion of the upgrades over the course of the original rebalancing subvention; and his views on the feasibility and potential benefits of such a rebalancing measure.
