Deputy Liam Quaide asked the Minister for Transport if he will engage with Bus Éireann and the National Transport Authority to address the limited public transport provision serving towns and rural areas in east Cork, including Cloyne, Ballycotton, Ladysbridge, Garryvoe, Shanagarry and their surrounding hinterlands; if consideration will be given to extending existing services, such as those from Ballinacurra, to loop through these communities; if he will further examine how enhanced bus links across east Cork could integrate with the increased Midleton–Cork train services, thereby providing sustainable transport connections for the growing populations in these towns and rural areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
