209 Dr. Upton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if, in view of both the strain on provision of beds in hospitals and the inequitable situation whereby women who live within the ambit of one division of the Health Service Executive may not be entitled to receive a home birth grant, whereas women living across the road, but within the jurisdiction of another division of the Health Service Executive are, she will consider introducing an obligation on all health boards to provide such grants to women who wish to avail of them; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
