Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Finance if he is considering proposing legislation to extend the code of conduct on mortgage arrears to cover overseas lenders of financial organisations who acquire Irish mortgages; if not, the measures he will take to better protect borrowers who find that their loans have been sold to an overseas financial institution; if he will provide a full list of such institutions who have acquired loans from any Irish covered institution in the past five years who are voluntarily adhering to the code of conduct on mortgage arrears; those who made no such pledge; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
