Deputy Andrew Doyle asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if all current core strategies of the city and county councils in the greater Dublin area, which are drawn up to be consistent with the current national planning framework, the national spatial strategy and the regional plan for the area, regional planning guidelines for the greater Dublin area must now be amended where they do not comply with the new transport strategy for the greater Dublin area drawn up by the National Transport Authority and approved by his predecessor, in April 2016; to confirm that this would be the case even where the new transport strategy is not consistent with or supporting the delivery of the objectives of the national planning framework, the national spatial strategy, and the regional plan for the area, regional planning guidelines for the greater Dublin area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
